Jose De Luna Obituary
Jose "Joe" A. De Luna (Pepe & Uncle Joe) born February 14, 1953 went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 16, 2013 at the age of 60. He was a loving husband for 39 years to his high school sweetheart Rosie. Joe was a proud father and grandfather. He graduated from Fox Tech H.S. c/o '72 and served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed his 38-year career in the Transmission & Automotive Repair Industry. Joe was a successful business owner. He owned several auto shops such as ATC, Gene Brown & Sergeant Clutch. He enjoyed barbecuing, listening and dancing to various genres of music, cocktails, painting, couponing, traveling, and keeping family traditions alive. Joe is preceded in death by his father Enrique De Luna. He is survived by his mother Dora P. De Luna, loving wife Rosie, son Michael, daughter Monica Galvan, son in law Jamie, grandchildren Isaac & Isabella, brothers Henry De Luna & Jessie De Luna, sisters Anna Maria De Luna & Oralia Mendez, brothers in law: the late Lorenzo & Roberto Aguilar, Ernest Aguilar, Louie Aguilar, Ramon Mendez, Jim Knight, Martin Soliz, sister in laws: the late Irene A. Coronado, Yolanda Knight, Sylvia Soliz, Eva De Luna, Minerva Aguilar, Mary Lou Aguilar, Diana Aguilar, Gloria Rios, his beloved Tia Lucy, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and his cat Lupita. Memorial Service will take place at Spirit & Life Fellowship 5409 Bandera Rd, Suite 201 SA, TX 78238 on Saturday Dec. 21, 2013. Visitation will be from 3-7pm with a prayer service to follow at 7pm. Procession will begin Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at 6557 Walzem Rd. at 10:30 am.

R.I.P Uncle Joe Love you and miss you already. Its been hard these past days but i know your in a better place. Ive been blessed and honor to have known you for the past 13 years and looking up to you as a father figure cuz you know i didnt have one. Going to miss your cooking, your stories, talking about them cowboys and having a drink of bellows with you. One thing im going to remember is you telling me you were proud of me for becoming the man i have grown up to since ive came into the family, and ill never for get that. Thank you for everything.

Mr. Joe, you gave so much of yourself to your businesses, you were always fair, honest and most of all very friendly to me as I took on different community projects. Your advice and knowledge helped my business grow. Joe or should I say Uncle Joe, you were always so happy, warm, and kind. I have many memories of our families getting together. We were like family. Well as compadres we are as you baptized my sister. You will be missed! I love you and have peace knowing that you said your goodbyes, didn't suffer, and lived a wonderful life to the fullest as a great provider and family man. You were admired by so many. I knew Jose when I was in the R.O.T.C. during those early 1970's. He was so, so funny. Sometimes he would make those jokes to keep you laughing even though we were in the R.O.T.C. building and had to keep a straight and serious face. He was a good guy.
