Resident of Aptos
Pat Emerson, a longtime resident of Aptos, passed away suddenly in his home on April 24 2012. He was 62. Pat was born on Scott Air Force Base in Illinois to Frank and Sheila Emerson on June 3 1949. He graduated from Kailua High School in Kailua, Hawaii. Pat worked for Safeway Stores for 42 years in Hawaii California, lastly at the Soquel store. To many he was known as the "Safeway Answer Man". Pat enjoyed cooking and barbecuing for family and friends and was a lifelong avid golfer. Pat was a kind, caring and generous man, a genuine nice guy. Pat will be deeply missed by many, including his wife, Joyce, his children, Scott (Erin) and Jennifer Whiteley (Mark), his stepsons, Scott (Deirdre) and Justin Cook, his grandchildren Paisley, Amalie, Lydia, Evan and Ava. Pat will also be truly missed by his mother, Sheila, and siblings Michael, Christopher, Caroline Campbell (Jan), all of Hawaii. There will be a remembrance golf tournament and BBQ for all his golfing and non-golfing family and friends. Email [email protected] for details. Pat will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. I will never forget how honest and genuine he was in every interaction. He always wanted to make everyone around him happy which he did very well. Pat was a great mentor and friend to me and I will always remember the sunny days on the golf course with him.
