Carole was a very good friend of mine for many years. She was full of mischief and always loads of fun. Missed by so many. I'm sure she's up there in Heaven giving the Man what for!

Carole and I had birthdays were close in December. She and I met as Kappa Alpha Theta sorority members (from different universities) when KAT had its national meeting in New Mexico. We became immediate friends. She was very creative! Carole was also quite resourceful and had a pegboard in her garage where she hung every tool imaginable. Her sense of humor was one of her remarkable traits. Miss her deeply. Tricia Erazo Penn, Santa Fe, NM
I inherited Carole's 13-year-old cat, ZELDA. So, I think of Carole every day.

Looked up my boss/friend/mentor's name and discovered this sadness! What an amazing woman I had the privilege to know, love and work with! I always wanted to be like her when I grew up! She taught and inspired me at Eicoff. She believed in me when I doubted myself. My heart breaks knowing the world is without her, but I know a star now shines brighter in the heavens. You, dearest Carole, will always remain in my heart and my memories! Thank you for everything!

So sad to hear this news. I got to know Carole on a Diving trip to the Red Sea in Egypt. We instantly became friends and she was an awesome gal, smart, funny, classy and great to be around. We often said we would meet up again but our lives took off in different directions and we were always a world apart but our souls remained close.
God bless you darling girl,
With love forever, Diane and Hani Khalil

How could anyone ever forget your wonderful sense of humor? I loved your funny emails. It was wonderful reconnecting after so many years. So happy we could share a drink at La Fonda last time I was home. Kathy Duran Elmore

Carole, You funny valentine. I've never laughed as hard as when reading your emails , particularly your medical updates. Yes, laughing. Thank you for always being such a champion and encouraging me. Your generosity was incredible. I loved the soaps and gifts you would drop by my office. Thanks for being you and for always staying in touch. May your garden be bountiful where you are now. love, Abigail

Carole came back into my life three years ago. We picked up right where we left off 50 years previously at Santa Fe High School. We shared memories, laughs, a few tears and special moments during her last visit to San Diego. She was my friend. Go rest high on that mountain girl.

Carole~ I met you in Santa Fe, loved your garden, and you planted mine. As I told you, my garden will be one of your legacies. Also, as of today, I will be taking care of your precious companion, Zelda. She will join my two cats, Karma and Spirit, both of which you named. What a life you led. Stories will continue to be told amongst your surviving friends who were blessed with your wisdom and humor. Love you, friend, fellow Sagitarrian, and Kappa Alpha Theta sister.

We were room mates when we first moved to Chicago in 1964. You had the front and I had the back of a very long Chicago brown stone. We had a blast both getting jobs in advertising. I was in the art department at Compton and you copy department of Leo Barnett. We had dreams of conquering the world of advertising. You did Carole I started having many children. But, those were fabulous memories for me. Marilyn Heaton

Carole and I shot commercials all over the world and it was always so much fun to work with her! I'll never forget when she came to LA to shoot her first big production with Patti Page! That was almost 50 years ago and we were close friends ever since. Carole, I'm going to miss your funny emails so much! My heart is so heavy. Love always, David Dunn

Carole was a great friend to my brother, David Dunn of Las Vegas, and although I didn't know her my life was richer as my brother shared her hilarious emails with me...especially when I was down in the dumps. What a trooper...I am sure her parents are hugging her tight! Ginger Dunn Bledsoe

I'm sitting in an office that Carole occupied for many years. It was where she interviewed me for a job, and her questions didn't seem to be as pertinent to the job as they were to life, which is why she was so good at what she did. She was interested in people. A western woman, who spent many years in the Midwest. She embraced the hardworking nature of Chicago, while holding onto the independence and toughness of her beloved Santa Fe. The world is slightly less interesting today. Let the party begin...wherever you are CD.
