Today, October 28th, is Jim's birthday and I have always called him on this day since 1984, the year we met. I hadn't been able to reach him for the last few years and feared learning the reason why. Now I know and am so terribly sorry to have missed his memorial. Jim played a seminal role in my life for many reasons and for many seasons after our first encounter in the aptly named Dragon Room at the Pink Adobe. He breathed fire indeed, that mysterious magical Scorpio! Go gently into that good night. I will love you forever, Cupcake.

Jim has rented a small efficiency from us for the past 21 years. But in those 21 years, he became a friend as well. Jim was very forthright and honest - he told it like he saw it. He will be missed by those that knew him.
Go well, Jim.
