It's hard to believe its been 7 years already. I can concur that John was a good, good man. I feel blessed to have known him the few years I did as a member of our writing group. He was kind to all of us and was spot on with his advice on our writing. I often think of him and his work. I know his family and friends will always remember this extraordinary human being.

Yes, a year has passed, but I am still haunted by a beautiful line in his obituary, "John Meeks was a good, good man who did a lot of good work in this world."

All this time later is but an instant in feeling John's presence in my life. Still miss his kind, gentle humor and loving ways. My heart goes out to his family.

Dr. Meeks was a wonderful mentor, a wise man, a well recognized psychiatrist, and a caring and loving person. A loss for many. My condolences to his family and many friends.

John was the smartest, steadiest and most avuncular deep thinker I ever had the privilege of working for/ with. One of those wonderful people that make a profound difference in your life and work. He was loved by many people. My sympathies to his family.

Those of us who had the privilege to work with and for Dr. John Meeks will never forget his leadership of people and of a fine institution that helped many adults and adolescents regain their productive lives. His sense of humor always helped break the tension while his teaching style was conversational and enduring. Anita and family, know that I will keep him and you all in my thoughts and prayers

Dr Meeks was medical director st PIMC in the 1980's when I was a young up and coming clinician, now licensed social worker with my own successful practice. I learned so much from him. He was a wonderful man, and a magnificent teacher.
My conferences to the family as well as thoughts and prayers. He impacted so many in so many positive ways
