MARY ZEPEDA Obituary

Mary Teresa Zepeda (1944-2010)
Our beloved Mother, Nana, sister, and friend passed away on October 11, 2010, after a sudden and unexpected illness, surrounded by her loving children and Grandchildren. She was born Mary Teresa Zaragoza on October 2, 1944, in Porterville, CA, raised in Hanford, CA, and graduated from Venice High in 1963. All together she had seven brothers and five sisters. She moved to Santa Maria in 1968 after marrying Gilberto Zepeda where she would be a homemaker to her 4 children. She later divorced. Anyone who knew Mary knew she loved her family, and friends. The highlight of her life was taking care of her grandchildren. She was also known for being a good cook, always had a smile on her face, and was fond of her Bear collection. The little things in life made her happy.
She is survived by her four Children, Dolores Cabatan, Gilbert Zepeda, and Yolanda Estrada, all of Santa Maria. Son's in law Mario Cabatan, and Martin Estrada, her 7 grand children, Annika Bourbon of Oxnard, CA, Carlitos (CJ) Barrera, Rudy Leon, Aliah Leon, Kelsie Cabatan, Steven Cabatan, Isaiah Estrada, great granddaughter Kiera Leon, her sister Sally Zaragoza all of Santa Maria, Brothers Salvador and James Zaragoza, both of Bakersfield, CA. and Johnny Zaragoza of Cudahy, CA. She was preceded in death by her Mother Maria Dolores Zaragoza Father Silviano Zaragoza, Grandson Roman Estrada, and numerous brothers and sisters.
She will be missed by all. Rosary service will be held at Dudley Hoffman Mortuary on Monday October 18, 2010 at 3:30 p.m, and a church service at St. Mary's Church on Tuesday October 19, 2010 at 9:30 a.m.

Thank you to everyone who loved my mom, those that asked for my mom all the time to see how she was doing. My mom had many friends and people who loved her. We miss her and love her very much. We have the hope that we will see her again and I can't wait to tell her how much people loved her and how much they missed her. Thank you.

Mom I love you with all my heart. You are such a great person thank you for making me the person I am today. I have many great memories of us, and your grandchildren love you so much. It's hard to know I just can't pick up the phone anymore to talk to you, or just take a minute drive to go see you. I look forward to the day of the ressurection where we can meet again. I love you mom.
