Marie Chamberlain Obituary

Marie B. Chamberlain - SAVANNAH - Marie B. Chamberlain, 84, of Savannah, Georgia died on July 25, 2011 at her residence (The Oaks at the Marshes) in Savannah. She was born in Germfask, Michigan the daughter of Neil Murdock and Cecil Bernice (Holland) McEachern. She was a graduate of Manistique High School with the Class of 1944. She attended Northern Michigan College in Marquette and received a bachelor of science in teaching in 1950 and was an active member of the "Novahoma" Club (a home economics club). On October 25, 1958 the former Marie McEachern married Wingfield N. Chamberlain and resided in the Washington, D.C. area. Marie and Wingfield enjoyed gardening and were members of the gardening club in Savannah. She also was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Savannah and was an avid Bridge player. Marie is survived by her stepdaughter, Tabitha Schwieder; her step grandchildren, Maria Schwieder and Damon Schwieder; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am Ð 12:00 noon, on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Messier-Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique.
