Eloise LaVerne Harris Wiley - SAVANNAH - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: or the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 God, in His infinite wisdom and divine love, released Eloise LaVerne Harris Wiley from all earthly limitations and granted her everlasting peace and security on October 22, 2015. Eloise LaVerne Harris was born March 9, 1930, to the late Cleophus and Catherine Harris. She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, but raised in Harlem, New York. Mother Wiley was an active member of the Kingdom Life Christian Fellowship Church. She worked many years for the Economic Opportunity Authority (EOA) and Board of Education (BOE). She laid the educational foundation for many children in the community, as well as her Pastor, Reverend Charles Roberson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Wiley, Jr., husband; Cleophus Harris, brother; and Shirley Holmes, sister. She leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Retired Captain Henry Wiley, III (Cathy) of Savannah; Glenn Wiley (Stefania) of Aviano, Italy; Lance Wiley of Jonesboro, Ga; Roger Wiley (Nannette) of Metter, GA; two daughters, Evangelist Dr. Rita Herring (Elisha) and Beverly Harris of Savannah; one sisters, Jacqueline Guice of Manchester, CT.; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Harris of Bronx, NY; one aunt, Geraldine Burroughs (Dr. Fredrick) of Raleigh, N.E., : 14 grands, 24 great-grands; 4 great-great grands; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her favorite scripture: I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me. Phil. 4:13. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at White Bluff United Methodist Church, with Reverend Vernon Galloway, Officiating, and Reverend Charles Roberson, Eulogist.
