George Schildt Obituary

George W. Schildt, 75, of Hampden Township, formerly of Pottsville, died Sunday at home.

He was a retired statistician from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and from the 193rd Civil Engineer Middletown as a supply technician.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and former commander of VFW Capital City Post 3540.

He graduated from Albright College, Reading, with a bachelor's degree in 1960 and a teaching degree in English and social studies. He received a master's degree from Shippensburg State College in May 1978.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, June "Beth" Glaser Schildt; a son, William and his wife, Linda, West Friendship, Md.; a daughter, Elizabeth and her husband, Vince Pascucci, and their sons, Vincent and David, all of Mechanicsburg.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, is handling the arrangements.
