Harold W. Rosenow, 85

Waite Park

April 24, 1926 - February 25, 2012

Memorial services will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Peace Lutheran Church in Cold Spring, MN for Harold W. Rosenow, age 85, who died Saturday at home surrounded by his family.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church prior to the services. Arrangements were entrusted with the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring.

Harold was born in Forest City township in Litchfield, MN to Otto J. and Adelhaid (Ramthun). He married Eunice Jacobson in November, 1944. Harold was inducted into the Army, spending 18 months in Japan. After returning from service he started in the trades as a plumber. He moved to St. Cloud and was employed by Weidner Plumbing and Heating for 35 years. Harold also worked for 10 years as a custodian for Peace Lutheran Church until his retirement in 2010.

Harold was a lifetime member of the St. Cloud Moose and Eastside VFW #1847. He was also a member of the Waite Park American Legion, a charter member of the Rockville Sportsmen's Club and a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Cold Spring.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice; 3 children, Judy (Jerome) Miller, Janelle (Mark) Eveslage, and Kevan (Joyce) Rosenow; sisters, Gloriette Wimmer of Litchfield, Elda Krupke of Paynesville, Rosetta Strohm of Palm Springs, CA, and Ardis Rogers of Henderson NV; brothers, Henry of Richmond, and Richard of Tracy, CA; 6 grandchildren, Aaron, Jason and Vanida Miller, Travis and Heather Eveslage, and Kaleb Rosenow; 7 great-grandchildren, Landon, Kristin, Kendra, Emilie, Ethan, Nolan and Callan Miller. Harold is also survived by his beloved cat Squeakie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pearl, and an infant son, Dennis.

Thank you from the family to Dr. Stephen Reichl and his nurse Joan and the wonder Hospice staff.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Herold and Eunice are such a lovely couple. They always treated me as a part of Family even that i was just an Exchange Student. I felt very honor and lucky to have you as my Grandparents.
