June 26, 1927 ~ Feb. 16, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Mary B. Imholte, age 88, of Clear Lake, who passed away February 16 at the Annandale Care Center in Annandale. Reverend Scott Pogatchnik and Reverend Daniel Walz will officiate.  Burial will take place in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery in St. Joseph.

 Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, February 19 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.  Parish Prayers will be held at 4 p.m.  Visitation will also be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

 Mary was born June 26, 1927 in St. Joseph, MN to Anton and Emelia (Aschenbrenner) Walz.  She was one of 14 children and was dedicated to helping her siblings care for their families.  She married Joe Ruh in 1948.  He died in 1949.  She married Harold Simon, Sr. in 1959.  He died in 1963.  She married Norman Imholte in 1972.  In addition to her own children, Mary was compelled to adopt eight more children from Colombia.  She will be remembered for her strong faith, love of gardening and nature and her connection to life.  She treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and she played a special role in each one of their lives.    

 Mary is survived by her husband Norman of Clear Lake, children Sam Simon (Ruh) of Little Falls, Kathy (Roger) Taylor of Nicollet, MN, Harry (Merlyn) Simon, Jr. of Sauk Rapids, Rick Imholte of St. Cloud, Joe (Ashley) Imholte of Clear Lake, Anita (Brian) Leblanc of Mesa, AZ, Norman (Lanie) Imholte, Jr., of St. Cloud, and Dan Imholte of St. Cloud, Teresa (David) Cabrera of Tempe, AZ, Maria Imholte of Tempe, AZ, and Tony (Jess) Imholte of St. Cloud, 24 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings Cletus (Eileen) Walz of St. Joseph and Maggie Krupa of St. Joseph.

 Preceding her in death were her parents, husbands, and brothers and sisters Loretta, John, Edmund, Francis, Florenz "Floyd", Christopher, Raymond, Wendelin, Anna, Bernard and Sr. Mary Dolores, OSC.

 Memorials are preferred.
