
Janet CRENSHAW Janet Crenshaw, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on April 3, 2011. Born Janet Marian Harney on August 4, 1924 in Portland, Oregon, Janet grew up in Portland and Tacoma, Washington. She was a proud alumnus of Stadium High School. She attended the University of Oregon where she pledged Alpha Phi sorority, then transferred to the University of Washington at the onset of WWII. She married Jim Crenshaw on March 15, 1946. They raised their family in Bellevue and Mercer Island. Jan and Jim were active golfers at Overlake Golf and Country Club and at Mt. Si Golf Club. Janet's passions included family, golf, bridge, the beach, and gardening. She was preceded in death by Jim, her devoted husband of 60 years. She is survived by her son Michael and his wife, Mary Brodd, by her daughter Karen and her son-in-law Mike Thorp, and by her adored grandchildren Molly and Jeffrey Crenshaw. At her request, there will be no funeral. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
