Carole Bindon Obituary

Carole Anne Bindon

Carole Bindon (McArthur) passed away on November 7, 2015 after a 2.5 year battle with stage 4 cancer (her 3rd bout with cancer).

Born in Vancouver, Canada to Robert and Elsie McArthur on April 16, 1944, Carole and her family moved frequently between Canada, California and Washington throughout her childhood. She became a Navy wife when she married her husband Rod in 1963 and they lived all over the U.S. while Rod was serving with the Navy. During this time, she met and interacted with numerous Admirals, Generals and State Department Ambassadors. She also did all the bookkeeping for their real estate business.

Carole and Rod made their permanent residence in Bellevue

and Medina, WA where they raised two daughters and enjoyed over 51 years of marriage. Carole enjoyed boating in the San Juans and Canadian Gulf Islands with her family, spoiling her grandchildren, and traveling to sunny destinations like Hawaii and Palm Desert. She became an avid golfer in her 50's and was proud to have earned two "holes in one" over the years. Her spirited personality and impressive skills on the course, made her a sought-after golf partner amongst their friends.

Carole is survived by her husband Rod Bindon, daughters Julie Bindon and Angie Ballas, son-in-law Gary Ballas, cherished granddaughters - Monica Elise and Fiona June Ballas, her sister Colleen Botelho, niece Amanda Botelho (Dan), and nephew Brad Botelho (Laura). She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A celebration honoring Carole's life will take place on Sunday, November 15th from 1pm - 3pm at Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club

(9927 Meydenbauer Way SE) in Bellevue. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance or the Redmond Academy of Theater Arts. Sign Carole's Guest Book at www.Legacy.com

We miss her effervescent personality. Running into Rod in Bellevue without Carole is like seeing Cisco without Pancho

This is the last photo in my cell phone of Carole. I love that it's with her granddaughters who she lived so much. Can't believe 4 years have passed.

Its hard to believe its been five years. Every time I watch Dancing With The Stars, I know Carole is watching too. That was our shared program, comparing notes right up to the end. Blessings to the rest of the Bindons and granddaughters.
