Edna L. NEUHART Edna Lisle Neuhart, age 91, passed away peacefully in Renton on April 17, 2011. Edna was the daughter of Harrison and Hazel Finlayson Jenkins. She was born and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Stan Neuhart and in 1941 they moved to Seattle where he spent his career with the Boeing Company. Stan and Edna were married for 60 years and lived in the Seattle-Kent area until Stan's passing in 2001. Edna is survived by her daughters, Eileen Miller-Bauer of Maple Valley, and Julee Neuhart of Seattle; three grandchildren, Bernard Bauer of Covington, Heidi Bauer, M.D. and husband, Jon Nicponski of Oakland, CA. and Derek Long and wife, Alison of Seattle; as well as two great-grandsons Brandon and Cody Bauer of Covington. Edna was an industrious and creative home maker. She loved sewing, crocheting and other handicrafts and she particularly enjoyed creating special gifts for friends and family. Edna was a lover of music. She found great pleasure in playing the piano and organ and was a talented singer with a beautiful voice. She was very proud to have been selected as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir while living in Salt Lake City. Edna was beloved by many, as a devoted wife, a compassionate and always generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She brought smiles and sunshine to others with her wonderful sense of humor and a twinkle in her eye. The family would like to thank Herman and Helima Mwale at the Fairwood Residence, a beautiful adult family home in Renton. They were both exceptional for sharing their family was well as their time and talents in providing wonderful care for Edna during her last year. A celebration of Edna's life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Marlatt Funeral Home, 713 Central Avenue N., Kent, WA. Viewing: 1:30 pm; service: 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna's name can be made to Children's Hospital, Seattle WA.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
