Patrick Harlo "Rick" Taylor

Patrick Taylor Obituary

Patrick "Rick" Harlo TAYLOR July 9, 1949 ~ March 8, 2011 A remarkable man.... Rick spent the last few days of his life in the tender embrace of his family. In addition to loving his family and friends Rick also loved puttering on his retirement ranch in Tonasket with his horses and Coby, his beloved dog. Not having Rick in our lives will be as sad as a tree with no branches, a crashing sea with no sound, and a sky with no stars. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Taylor, and his older brother Mike. He is survived by his wife Lynn Taylor (Tonasket), daughter Ricanna Taylor (Lynnwood), sisters Lori Oncina (Mercer Island) and Tammi Taylor (Kent), an endless list of nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and nieces who adored their Uncle Rick, and a multitude of other family members who are equally heartbroken. A memorial service will be held March 17th @ 3:00 p.m. at the Mercerwood Shoreclub on Mercer Island.

I miss you so much dad. Watching your grandbabies grow up is bittersweet without you. What I wouldn't give to watch the three of you together.

Missing you more than you can imagine!!

March 7, 2019

Missing your Johnny jokes, missing your brotherly advice, missing you real bad at holiday dinners, missing horse talk (Vik now has hock arthritis), missing Taylor talk (found some new Taylor relatives through Ancestry and got some good new stories from Ronnie), and wishing I could have seen you teasing around with your granddaughters! That would have been a hoot. They would have been instantly smitten! I never would have been ready for you to go, but you left way way way too soon. Always in my heart...

Dreaming about snuggling with you grandpa

Not long from now, we will be starting a new journey together, this time as grandparents, and it brings me comfort knowing you are always there watching and protecting our baby. She'll always have us in her corner, and I know I speak for us both when I say 'We are so proud of you, the woman you have become, and you will be a great mommy!'

Rick was my hero, devoted husband of 29 years, and the love of my life. We shared 30 wonderful years together. He taught me that life is what you make of it. Take the time to live in each moment given to you before it's lost forever. Rest in peace, my beautiful husband.

I didn't know Rick very well. He was my step-sister Lynn's husband. I had not seen them for many years but I am heartbroken at his loss. He was living a retirement life in their special place and is gone too soon. I hope his memory will comfort Lynn and Coby. Sincerely

Rick was very special to me and everyone who crossed his path. Never has there been a more devoted father and I wouldn't have wanted to share the experience with anyone else. I will always cherish the day he gave me our miracle, our daughter Ricanna, and for that I will always be grateful and you will ALWAYS be missed.

My father can only be described as one in a million; one of the few truly honorable people on the planet. Living without his jokes, his laughter, his hugs, and his uplifting smile will always leave me feeling anything but whole. Words cannot describe fairly how absolutely amazing he is and how much he will be missed!
