Arvids P. Berkolds

Arvids P. BERKOLDS Age 89, passed away at his Seattle residence on Sept. 9, 2010. He was born on April 23, 1921 in Cecis, Latvia to Peteris and Anna Berkolds. He has been a resident of the Seattle area since 1951 where he established his career as an Owner/ Director of the Medical Center Laboratory in Ballard. He took great pride as the President of the Latvian Association of the State of Washington for over a decade. Arvids is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ilze; 3 children, Karlis (Trudy) Krastins, Scarlett (Aivars) Osvalds, Paul (Andra) Berkolds; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many loving extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 at the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Seattle. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to The Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Seattle.
