Lloyd White Obituary

Lloyd W. White, DDS

October 2, 1943 ~ March 25, 2017

Lloyd of Brewster passed away on Saturday. Born in Nebraska Lloyd graduated from the UW School of Dentistry. During a career that spanned the state, he served as President of the Washington State dental board. There is nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with family and friends fishing in Mexico. He is survived by his beloved wife Abril, his three children and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Joan.

We're very sorry to learn of Lloyd's passing. Lloyd and I were inseparable friends at Shuksan Jr High and B'ham High. We worked together in the summers roofing their home on Bayside and shucking hay bales. After Marcia (Costanti) and I had our 1st child, we referred to Lloyd as "uncle Lloyd". We enjoyed visiting and reminiscing with him and Abril during the Class of '61's 50th reunion. Lloyd was a smart, quiet and faithful friend. We will always be blessed to have had him as a friend.

So sorry to hear about Lloyd's passing. Lloyd and Dad shared a dental office for many years and remained in touch after Lloyd left Seattle and Dad retired. As a kid, I remember hilarious stories of his kids and Ralph, the family dog. The Raisler family is sending prayers and strength to Lloyd's family. And also, on a sad note for us, Dad passed away on March 27. His obituary will be published Sunday April 2 in the Seattle Times. RIP to two outstanding men and dentists!

It was my privilege to work for Lloyd and Gordon Raisler in the Cobb Bldg. as their receptionist for 15 years.
He was a great guy to work for and just plain "Nice Man".
Family meant a lot to him and he talked about them quite a bit. He was always proud of his children
I will always remember Lloyd fondly.

Very Sorry to hear about Lloyd. He was a great classmate in junior high and high school and a short time at Western. A very smart guy. I remember in a mechanical drawing class in junior high that he designed and octagon home. Had a great visit with him at our last class reunion. Saw him in Cabo once and I know he really loved it down there. He did a great job on my tooth, that needed immediate attention, when he worked in Seattle. I remember him being a kind of quiet guy but went well together with some of us not so quiet fellow students. Best wishes to family and I know he will be remembered.

Though I never met Lloyd, I heard such wonderful things about him from his step-daughter, Morgan, and her daughter, Ava. A wonderful, kind and caring man to so many! They loved him very much. My sincere sympathy to all of his children, step children and other family members.

LLoyd worked with Gordon Riseler and my mom Ruth Stone was the office manager at their dental office in the cobb building. Many good memories with him and his first wife Jane. So very sorry he was a good man. God Bless

I am so saddened by this news. I started working for Lloyd when I was 16 as a chairside. He will be missed. And I'm privileged to have known him.

I have had the same experiences with Lloyd as others that have left messages of condolences. Lloyd was a good friend and always polite but not a close friend. I remember him as a part of the junior high and high school football teams and on the track team in high school. He was at the last our 50th reunion with his wonderful lady, both making a hit with the crowd of classmates. Lloyd will definitely be missed in Brewster and by his classmates.

In addition to BHS '61 , I shared a small house with Doug MacArthur and Lloyd early sixties at Western. I shall always remember a fine man
who left us all too soon.

So sorry to hear of Lloyd's passing. We went to Bellingham High School at the same time and even though we weren't close friends, he always went out of his way to smile and say "hello".

Sincere sympathy to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Lloyd's death. I have very fond memories of being his dental hygienist when he worked in the Cobb Building. We had many laughs on our trips to and from work as we both lived on Mercer Island at the time. Peace Darlene Howard
