Harvey Lear Obituary

Harvey Lear, 75, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 in La Grange. He was a native of Richmond and a resident of Shelbyville. He had been in business for himself as a tree trimmer, having worked in the tree business for a total of over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Lear; son, Ricky Lear; and dog, Randy. He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Dunaway of Shelbyville and Margaret Ann Lear of Shelbyville; sons, Doug Lear (Lena) of Shelbyville, Bobby Lear (Martha) of Waddy, and Allen Lear of Simpsonville; brothers, Buddy Lear, Charlie Lear, Bull Lear; sisters, Minnie Davidson, Iva Davidson, and Susie Lear; and 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bagdad Cemetery.
