Hedy Schick Obituary

Hedy Schick April 4, 1914 - October 18, 2010 Beloved wife of the late Herbert Schick passed away peacefully in her San Francisco home at the age of 96. She was born in Vienna, Austria the second of three children to Henrietta and Ludwig Lowy. In Vienna she met her husband and they married in 1939. They were reunited in 1940, settled in Kansas City and had two children. In 1954 the family moved to San Francisco where they joined Hedy's sister and brother-in-law. Hedy was beautiful and multi-talented. She loved to sew, knit, crochet, paint, garden, cook and bake. She regularly attended the opera and symphony and her greatest joys were being around family and friends, especially babies and children. Hedy was preceded in death by her husband of 55-1/2 years, brother Fred Lane of London, England and sister Gertrud Small. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne (Robert) Thompson, son Robert (Isabel) Schick, grandsons Mark (Jennifer) and Andrew Schick, Steven Morrison, brother-in-law Henry Small, sister-in-law Eve Schick of Kansas City, a niece and two nephews.
