Virginia Solveson Obituary

Virginia June Solveson Passed away peacefully October 11, 2010 at the age of 82. Ginny lived at The Forum in Cupertino where she had many dear friends. She enjoyed a rich life, full of arts, travel, nature, and especially dogs. Her travels took her to all the continents of the world except Antarctica. She was a master gold point bridge player, had numerous years of season tickets to the San Francisco Symphony and Opera, passed the California Bar at the age of 55 and became a child advocate lawyer for the City and County of San Francisco. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Chetlain, and her husband of 47 years, Harvey. She is survived by her children, Walt (Kim), Tom (Carolina), and Amy, grandchildren Lindsay (Jeff) Augustine, Eric, Elizabeth, Marisella, and Natalie, great grandchildren Jack and Caitlin, her sister, Francis Devore, niece Mary Lou (Mark) Zoback, and many other nephews and nieces and their families. Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Life at the home of Mark and Mary Lou Zoback, 433 Gerona Road, Stanford. Donations may be made to the San Francisco CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocate) Program for abused and neglected children or the Peninsula Humane Society.
