IRMA ESTHER LOA

Born December 28, 1954, in Victoria, Texas. Passed away September 28, 2010, in Santa Barbara, California. She spent the last few years of her life in Santa Barbara. She previously lived in the San Fernando Valley where she worked for auto dealers. During her last days and moments she was accompanied in prayer and bible readings by her siblings. She loved her brothers and sister and her many nephews and nieces, cousins and aunts and uncles spread all over Texas and California and also Costa Rica, the birth place of her "Amacita." Irma was born to the late Jesus (Jesse) Loa and Rosario Alvarez Loa. She is survived by her siblings Richard Loa of Palmdale, Calif., Tommy Loa of Weatherford, Texas, Christine Loa Garcia of Upland, Calif., Raul Loa of Merced, Calif., and Jesse Mario Loa of Sylmar, Calif. She was preceded in death by her brother Carlos Loa. Irma loved to cook and was particularly proud of her ceviche cocktail which was a delicious seafood concoction she prepared very spicy and only for special occasions. Irma was a jewel in the making and our Lord blessed us with her real beauty, but she left us before she could achieve so much more. Today she is present before the King. Those who loved her saw her at her best although occasionally we saw bumps on her road to happy destiny. "Triumphant be those in his great grace, for he awaits with his loving embrace". Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., with a Memorial Service starting at 12:00 noon, Friday, October 1, 2010, both at Utter-McKinley San Fernando Mission Mortuary, 11071 Columbus Avenue, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
