Larry Stone Obituary

POLKVILLE - Larry Dean Stone, 69, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at his home. Born in Cleveland County on April 3, 1944, he was the son of the late Barney Richard and Mamie Lea Laughter Stone.
He attended Lawndale Missionary Methodist Church. Larry worked in the warehouse at Fiber for many years and then at Lowe's Hardware before retiring. He was also a former member of the Upper Cleveland Rescue. Larry loved fishing, gardening, and making people laugh.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bob Guay.
Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruby White Stone; a sister, Anita Guay of Shelby; a sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Johnny Ruppe of Polkville; and a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Bessie White of New House.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
Funeral service: 3 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory
Burial: Will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
Funeral home: Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
Memorials: May be made to the charity of one's choice.
