Linda Ivester Obituary

CASAR - Mrs. Linda Smith Ivester, 61, of 216 White St., died Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late James Hampton Smith and Zonie Butler Smith. Two brothers, J.H. and Roy Smith, and a sister, LeBerta Smith Sisk, also preceded her in death.
Linda retired from Broughton Hospital as an LPN after 28½ years of service. She was the owner and operator of Fashion Corner in Lawndale. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and Friendship Force of Cleveland County.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Edward Ivester; a son and his wife, Anthony and Brianna Ivester of Casar; a daughter and her husband, Gwynn and Jason Champion of Lawndale; grand-daughter, Brooklyn Ivester of Casar; two brothers, Billy Smith of Cheltenham, Md., and Ray Smith of Forest City; a sister, Ethel Stamey of Morganton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral: Tuesday, May 19, at 11:30 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church; the body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.

Dear Ivester Family, I am sorry for your loss. Linda was a wonderful person and will always be remembered. I will never forget those summer weekends coming and helping Linda and Gwynn around the store, and the wonderful "Fashion Shows" we had.

Dear Family,
