I will always remember Bettye as a very beautiful person inside and out. She was always full of life and really enjoyed doing things and going places with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

My mom, Clara Marie Allen (CM), was a friend of Bettye's through the garden club. She often mentioned Bettye and the various projects they were involved in for the club, such as the auction fundraisers and shows. One Christmas, my mom gave each of her 4 kids a copy of the club cookbook, "A Taste of California", 1987. One of our family favorites was Bettye's Chili Egg Puff, which my mom always made for our family brunch get-togethers. It became a brunch staple for us, and since my mom passed in 2007, it remains a family favorite that one of us is sure to bring.
Our sincere condolences to you all for your loss.
