Was so sad to hear of Mrs. Donohue's passing. She was my 3rd grade teacher back in the '50s at Castle Park Elementary - and one of a handful of teachers who made a difference in my life. She made learning fun and made each of us feel special. My sympathies to her family.

My sincere condolences to the Donohue family I was a student of Mrs. Donohue when she was a teacher at Greg Rogers Ele. I too was blessed by this gifted teacher who was truly caring of her students which she shared with me in suggesting i remain in her class for another year which i was upset with the idea at first but later realized it was better not for just my knowledge but as a child who had a disability it left me another yr. to mature and be prepared to enter Jr. high school and for that i am and always will be very greatfull

My sincere condolences to the Donohue family I was a student of Mrs.Donohue when she was a teacher at Greg Rogers Ele. and one of my best lessons from her was the care for her students. When she sugested at that time i remain in the same grade for another yr.I was upset back then but now as an adult realize it was that i be better prepared to enter Jr.high which was in turn best not only in my knowledge but it also left another yr.to be more mature to handle entering junior high as a person with a disability so i to was blessed for having known such a great person as well as a gifted teacher

It was with great sadness that I read of the passing of Mrs. Donohue this morning. Your dear mother was a teacher of mine when I attended Castle Park Ele. I am now 61 years old and thinking back of all my school years, your mother and an english teacher I had at CPHS are the only ones who stand out. This has come up in conversation from time to time, as I have worked in a high school library for the past 21 years. Your mother was so special. My mother and I even visited her at Christmas time when you lived on Emerson. I will never forget Mrs. Donohue. She was so gifted. Sadly, they just don't make teachers like her any more. Thank you for sharing her with me. I was blessed.
