Darlene Keller Obituary

KELLER, DARLENE BERNIECE AKA Darlene B. Bordeaux-Keller June 27, 1938 to Nov. 22, 2010 My loving wife Darlene was born in Provo, Utah, and passed away after a prolonged battle with Multiple Myeloma, a bone-marrow cancer. She passed peacefully at Tri-City Medical Center with her family at her side. Darlene had a long and varied career, having two Master of Arts degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Education Administration. Her illness prevented her from completing her PhD in Organizational Behavior. She was a school teacher, a psychiatric social worker, and a probation office supervisor in Los Angeles County. She then started her management consulting firm, Bordeaux & Associates in 1981, where she travelled the world as a speaker and seminar leader. In her spare time she wrote a psychological text book, and a book entitled "12 Steps to Personal and Professional Development." She made numerous appearances on TV and radio, sometimes serving as a panel member in discussions of topics from education to management. The highlight of her life (and mine) was from June 2002 to December 2003 where we served a mission for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in South Africa. We made eternal friendships in the process. This was our time together; it was the happiest time in both of our lives - serving the Lord together. The saddest part of our lives was when Darlene was diagnosed with the cancer, but we maintained our faith in the Lord, put our trust in Him, and led our lives according to His direction. Darlene is survived by her husband, four children, fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many friends. We will all truly miss her!! Ed Keller
