ELIZABETH RICHER Obituary

RICHER, ELIZABETH M. May 20, 1963 to October 25, 2010 Richer passed away Monday surrounded by friends and family. Born and raised in San Diego, she is survived by her daughters Jen, 26, who resides in Washington, DC; Carly, 24, who resides in Hawaii; and Ben, 22 who resides in San Diego. She will be remembered by her mother Beverly Benson, her sister Kathy Benson, her brothers Jeff and Brad Benson, her sweetie Tony Alderete, and everyone her life touched. She began her career at Sharp Memorial Hospital. After earning her masters in nursing at San Diego State University, she went on to work for the San Diego School District for 15 years as an on-site nurse. Beloved by her students, colleagues, and AA advocates, Nurse Beth was dedicated to helping others in all aspects of life. Beth's motto for life was: "boring people get bored," and she was anything but. Her home was always open to those in need from family to friends and even pets. Beth lived her life with grace, passion, and beauty, and will be remembered as a dedicated mother, sister, and daughter. Services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Saturday, October 30th, at 12:30 p.m., 2766 Navajo Road, El Cajon. Please do not wear black, as we are celebrating the life of a vibrant woman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Nursing Foundation. I was so sorry to hear of Beth's passing. My heart goes out to her family. This picture is how i always remembered Beth from scouting days...she was always smiling. I only knew her as a little girl, but it sounds like she gre up to be a great woman!

To The Richer Children and The Benson Family;
My heart breaks for you all. Knowing that Beth is now with God can hopefully easy your pain and loss.
I think of all the fun times we had as kids. Many memories from scouting events. I remember Mrs E, Mrs B and Mrs G taking us three girls, (Beth, Sally, Rita) camping in the mountains of San Diego.

I have so many wonderfully treasured memories of "Bethy", which I will use to keep her alive in my heart. I thank her mother, Miss Bev for sharing this beautiful woman with me. I am blessed evermore by knowing the depth of love that her sister and brothers gave to her in full measure. To her children Carly, Jen, and Ben please remember that Tatie loves you all ever after and beyond.
