JILL GARY Obituary

GARY, JILL ALLISON Feb. 16, 1960 to Oct. 9, 2010 A Celebration of Life service was held for Jill Allison Gary, 50, of Pine Valley, CA, on Saturday, October 23rd, at the Pine Valley Community Church. Jill was born on February 16, 1960 in National City, CA. She passed away with peace and dignity at her home on October 9, 2010, with her husband at her side, after a valiant four-and-a-half year battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Her family takes great comfort in the fact that she is now cancer-free, no longer a captive to the afflictions of her earthly body, and in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was raised in La Mesa, CA, and graduated with honors from Helix High School. She attended Point Loma Nazarene University, Grossmont College, and San Diego State University. She worked over a decade in the banking industry at various customer-service and administrative levels. Later, the result of a lifelong interest in travel and sightseeing with her husband, she spent another decade as a manager with a local company specializing in day and weekend tours. She is survived by her husband, Ken Gary; her daughter, Ashley Gary; her father and mother, Clyde and Sandra Hayen; her twin brother, Jeffrey Hayen; and her grandmother, Eleanor Decker. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Douglas Decker, Sr.; and her uncle, Douglas Decker, Jr.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working for Jill at the Balboa-Genesee branch of Imperial Savings (many years ago). I will always remember her professionalism, warmth, and gentle sense of humor.
