PATRICIA CHIPMAN Obituary

CHIPMAN, PATRICIA JANE Born in Pennsylvania August 20, 1929 Went to Heaven October 21, 2010 October 21, 2010, at 7:50 p.m. my Grandma passed away. To many, she would have seemed like just another Grandma. But to us, she was so much more. She lived in poverty as a young girl, was divorced, and after raising three wonderful sons in a two parent household, raised my mother and my uncle on her own. She worked many jobs to secure her children's future. Grandma lived with our family for 18 years in Arizona, Georgia, Florida and San Diego. She loved us all very deeply with a passion. She was the most loving Grandma anyone could ask for. Fifteen years of my life she blessed me with her love and care. She cooked amazing food and did our laundry year after year. She died of heart failure and I only wish I had more time with her. In her lifetime, she rose up past all bad influences and struggles to bring about a loving family. She had five children, Chip (Lucy), Gary (Kathy), Jack (Monica), Lee (Maria) and Jane (Marty); sixteen grandchildren, Eddie, Jason, Andy, Patrick, Jared, Chance, Cameron, Jay, Amanda, Vanessa, Sergio, Brandon, Bradlee, Christopher, Corey, and Caitlin, and five great-grandchildren, Alexia, Cameron, Khloe, Kaylee, and Hailee. She had two sisters, Anna May and Connie, and a brother, Raymond (Trudy) as well as many nieces and nephews who have been such a wonderful part of her life. She died with her family's love and support around her in our home. She will continue to be remembered in my heart for the rest of my days. She died peacefully and is in a better place now. Love you Grandma! (Written by Christopher McAuliffe, her grandson). A service celebrating her life will be held on November 5th at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association on her personal webpage at http://honor.americanheart.org/site/TR?pxfid=182081&pg=fund&fr_id=1030 or by mailing to American Heart Association 1710 Gilbreth Road Burlingame, CA 94010-1795

Always looked forward to visiting with Pat and she enjoyed her grandchildren so much. She moved through life with ease and I will miss her smiling face.

This beautiful lady taught me the enjoyment of life, to be humble, to put others first, to cook, to laugh, to cry, and most importantly, to love unconditionly. In 55 years i not once saw her put herself first. I will miss her terribly, although she is with me every day. I can tell you this, if she's not in heaven, none of us are going.

Dear Jane & Family;

Our heartfelt sympathy is with you all at this time. So sorry that we didn't get a chance to reconnect, after you left Pittsburgh. Many fond memories of those times and of course growing up with your Mom. I'm sure she is in a better place, and her suffering is over. She had a very hard life, but one that she could be proud of, just reading the message your son wrote says it all. She was a special lady and raised special children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. What a blessing to be able to spend her life with those she loved. Our prayers are with you all.

Love, Cousins, Pat & Bill Jakub, Joell & family, Jill & family.

I will always remember Pat for how beautifully she brought up her daughter, no matter what difficulties she faced. Such a lovely woman who will be so sadly missed. Our love and prayers are with all of you now. Hold on to your beautiful memories and know she is in an amazing place now.

I’d never met Mrs. Chipman but learned of her and her latest health issues through my sister, Charlotte Isbister, who works with Jane McAuliffe. It’s sometimes prophetic how people learn of another’s tribulations and follow them with requested prayers. Therefore, Mrs. Chipman was added to my personal prayer list and I was given updates along the way. I could only hope to be as well thought of and remembered as Mrs. Chipman has been. She was a gift to her family, a gift to God, and a gift to science. Godspeed to Mrs. Chipman and God’s blessings to those she left behind.
You grieve for the loss of your loved one but know that she has left indelible memories in your heart.

Losing you leaves a heartache no one can heal, but your friendship and love leaves a memory no one can steal. I will miss you Pat.

We will all miss Pat; she was a tremendously caring and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was a blessing to our family and everyone she met.

We grieve for our loss, but rejoice in knowing she is now joyful, always!
