Paul Patison Obituary

PATISON, PAUL EDWARD Paul Edward Patison passed away at his home in Escondido, at the age of 81, on Saturday, September 5, 2009. Paul was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 8, 1927. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 18 and served in World War II as well as the Korean and Vietnam wars. "Pat" served most of his military career based in San Diego at Coronado, and taught at N.T.C. His last deployment was on the U.S.S. England and he retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1970. Paul worked for the San Diego City School District until retiring in 1992. Paul and his wife, Carmen, raised their family in Santee and lived in East County until retiring to Fort Huachuca, Arizona, for 15 years before returning to live with family in Escondido in 2004. Paul is survived by his wife, Carmen; sons, Ruben Herrera, Rudy Martinez, and Ernest Martinez; daughters, Maggie Stevens, Barbara Rossoll, Paula McGregor, and Vera Wolfe; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Services will be at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Escondido at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12th, and military burial on Monday, September 14th, at Riverside National Cemetery.
