VENDLA EVANS Obituary
Vendla was born on June 26, 1916 in Hoogdal, WA to Elsa and John Grip, Swedish pioneers of the Hoogdal community. She was the youngest of four children.
Vendla attended the Hoogdal Grade School and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School.
She met James Evans at a whist card party at the Hoogdal Community Club House. They married on March 25, 1943 and remained married until his death on November 18, 2001.
Vendla enjoyed growing plants, flowers and vegetables, and was well known for her home made cinnamon rolls. She was proud of her Swedish heritage and spent her entire life in the Hoogdal/Sedro-Woolley area.
Vendla is survived by her two daughters, Judy Hardin and Linda Evans; two grandchildren, Maxx Rivas (Tracy) and Kasey Rivas; numerous nieces and newphews and sisters-in-law.
The family wishes to thank everyone at Joshua's House for the love and kindness they have shown Vendla.
At Vendla's request, there will be no funeral service.

Vendla~
You and Jimmy were a huge influence for me and my sister. Always coming to our birthday parties and being at the Hoogdal Community Club events. Thank you!
