SPARTANBURG, SC-- Eugenie Bierbrauer, 76, of Spartanburg, SC, died January 24, 2011, in hospice care in Cincinnati, OH. She was born, January 31, 1934, in Dresden, Germany.
Eugenie and her husband Horst moved to Spartanburg in 1966, where she lived the remainder of her happy and full life. She obtained her GED from Spartanburg Technical College. She worked for many years in Inventory Control for her former employer, Staubli Corporation. She was a tennis enthusiast and a member of the Spartanburg Athletic Club. She loved her neighborhood and friends at Oak Creek Plantation, where she spent many hours walking along the beautiful lakefront and visiting with her kind neighbors like Mrs. Jan Scott and Mr. & Mrs. Jay Bomar. In this way, she lived life to the fullest despite a diagnosis of cancer that eventually took her life.
