Rev. Timothy 'Bo' Waldrop
SPARTANBURG, SC-- The Rev. Dr. Timothy Lee 'Bo' Waldrop, 57, husband of Naomi 'Sandi' Kline Waldrop, passed away January 16, 2018. He was the son of Juanita 'Dety' Crocker Waldrop and the late Bartley Waldrop.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a brother, Steve Waldrop; sister/cousin, Hope Poteat Mizzell (Tony); niece, Sybil Mizzell; nephew, T.J. Mizzell; cousin, Linn Crocker (Avon); and his beloved dogs, Ras, Monty, and Butter. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two sisters, Vickie and Kim Waldrop.
Rev. Waldrop was the current pastor of East Spartanburg Wesleyan Church; a Chaplain with the Spartanburg City Police; founding pastor and secretary of Greater Clifton Ministerial Assoc.; VP of Clifton Improvement Assoc.; former minister of Mt. Whitaker Baptist in Blacksburg; Grace Community Church in Simpsonville, Mauldin Wesleyan, and Chesnee Wesleyan. He was an avid sports fan. He loved his NY Mets, Jets, Celtics and Bruins, Wofford, and Notre Dame.
His ministry touched countless lives for Christ and he will be forever loved and missed. He will be receiving posthumously his PsyD, Doctorate of Psychology and his PhD from the Graduate Theological Foundation. He was an honors graduate of Broome High School, received his Master's Degree and Doctorate Degree from Erskine Seminary, and his Bachelor's Degree from Wofford College.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, at the District 3 Broome High School Auditorium with the ministers of Greater Clifton Ministerial Association and Wesleyan ministers officiating.
