Fred Baxter "Freddie" Neighbors
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Fred Baxter "Freddie" Neighbors, 63, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his home. Born February 5, 1951, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Lawrence Everette and Martha B. Neighbors of Spartanburg.
Mr. Neighbors was a member of the Peach Blossom Car Club and retired from Piedmont Natural Gas after 30 years as a service technician. He was an avid fisherman, loved camping and NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Evelyn Boiter Neighbors; beloved daughters, Angela Wilson (Michael) of Chesnee, SC and Christina Graves (Cory) of Lyman, SC; beloved granddaughter, Avery Wilson; brother, Roger Neighbors (Susie); niece, Lisa Neighbors Davis (Brian); half-brother, Joe Byers (Ruth); mother-in-law, Carrie Wall; brother-in-law, Larry Boiter (Jeannie); extended family, David and Angie Cantrell and their sons, Jordan and Toby; and very special friends, Bill and Kathie Hamilton of Rock Hill, SC, Mike and Rhonda Lang of High Point, NC, and Larry and Renee Dugan of Inman, SC.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by Mr. Brandon Correll "Cory" Graves.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304; or online at www.mobilemeals.org/donate.php.
A very special thanks is expressed to Hospice Care of South Carolina for the care and compassion shown to Freddie and his family.
