Born April 4, 1978, to Ed and Robbin Wood, in Spokane, WA. She passed away May 30, 2011, from complications of diabetes. Sasha graduated from University High School in 1996. In school she enjoyed dancing, fast pitch softball, camping and fishing.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Dana R. Wood. She is survived by her mother, Robbin Chere Wood and her partner, Jolene Cusick; father, Edward W. Wood, Jr. and his wife, Susan C. Silva; sister, Dawnya Suiter; brother, Alex Heffelfinger; daughter, Alexis Williams; former husband, Zane Williams, Jr.; sons, Tanner and Skylar Schwanke; partner, Chris Schwanke; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sasha was a loving mother who will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Sasha's life will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at Pines Cemetery Chapel, 1402 S. Pines, Spokane Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, " target="_blank" rel="nofollow, noindex" class="obit-text-link">www.diabetes.org.

My mom was a loving and loyal person. She was a fragile petal in a fierce wind. I will miss her so much but I am glad that she is in heaven and no longer in pain. She will always be missed. Love, your daughter, Alexis

To Lexi and Sasha's Family,
I only met Sasha a couple of times. The first was when she was pregnant with Lexi and she was so proud and such a happy mommy to be. She shined with love and light every time she rubbed her swollen belly and she had a great sense of life and beautiful smile. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope that you feel her spirit and the faith of seeing each other some day in eternity as your work through your grief. She will be loved and missed dearly and if there is anything we can do to help during this time. Please let us know. I don't know Sasha, or her family, but as a 33 year old myself, a mother of small children and too have lived with an autoimmune disease for 28 years, I felt a commonality and was instantly brought to tears. May her children always grow knowing their mother's grace and endless love.
