Edwina Cosgriff Obituary

COSGRIFF,
Edwina
(Age 83)

Passed peacefully at Sacred Heart Medical Center on March 22, 2011. Born Edwina Hill in Shreveport, Louisiana she moved to Spokane a young war bride in 1946. Over the next 30 years she would become well known in Spokane as a favorite bar maid at the area's most successful taverns. "Eddie" worked for long periods at Sam and Dom's, Jimmy's, Eddie Murphy's and the Office Tavern. She was preceded in death by Jim Kimble, Jerry Ogle and her longtime companion of 23 years Bob Brandley. Her passions included a love of flowers and roses.
By the grace-of-god all her children were able to tell her goodbye before she departed. Patricia Thiemer, Michael Kimble, Gary Kimble and Mark Ogle will miss her along with nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Eddie's legacy in life was her un-wavering devotion and love to her children and their lives. One sister, Carmilita and one brother, Jereal Hill also survive her. Life time friend, Mina Ross will help memorialize her on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at 2pm, in the Alwin Chapel at HAZEN & JAEGER FUNERAL HOME, 1306 North Monroe. All family and friends are invited.
