Anita Colvin Obituary

COLVIN, Anita

Born on July 1, 1942 in Tacoma, Washington. Pas-sed away at home on April 30, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Valmore and Hazel Strange. Anita graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and attended Eastern Washing-ton University. She worked in the real estate and banking fields prior to becoming a legal assistant. Anita had a fondness for the family cabin on Priest Lake. She enjoyed tending flowers, watching the Mariners and had a lifelong interest in forensic science. Las Vegas was her favorite destination. She is survived by her sister, Ellen McKelvey; two nieces and their families of Anchorage, Alaska. Special thanks to the staffs of Family Home Care and Horizon Hospice for their warm loving assistance. Anita so appreciated their touch. A private graveside service will be held. RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME & CREAMTORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA.

I was shocked beyond belief when I heard the sad news of Anita's passing. Even though I considered you all family, I wasn't very good at keeping in touch. May God and my prayers be with the McKelvey family in this time of sorrow.

I thought of Anita often even though we lived far apart. She was one of my first friends and I'll always think of our wonderful times at Priest Lake. I pray she is in a place much like that-or even better- now. I pray stength and peace to Ellen and family.

My deep condolences to you and your family. We all go so far back and yet it only seems like a couple of years ago we were having picnics, Priest lake doings, and just general family get togethers. Memories are wonderful and beautiful.
