Libbie & family,
So sorry to read of your mother's passing. I unfortunately can relate, my mom passed away this past July. (Both were too young). Many prayers for you & your family. May your memories keep you smiling. Take care!

Dear Mickey,
I'm addressing this to you personally because I want you to know how much I loved traveling with you and being your colleague at school.
There were lots of trips that you-all went on that I would have liked to participate in, but the time or money (especially money) didn't quite work out. However, I shall be forever grateful that I went with you on this last trip to Panama. You were so generous to share your wonderfully large stateroom with me. We had such a good time taking naps, laughing, eating and, of course, shopping, as well as looking and absorbing as much as possible on the shore excursions.
I also remember you from SFCC days, when we both served on the ever-demanding Curriculum Committee among others and enjoyed each other's support.
I trust that you and Mary Ann are already planning trips "over there," ready to give us all the best quality experience imaginable.
Love you always,
Nelliemay Hellenberg
To Mickey's family,
I'm sure you know that your mother was a remarkable woman and a life force to be reckoned with! What a legacy of rich experiences she has left you in your remembrances.

Mickey's Family: In love and admiration I write to let you know what an influence Mickey was in my life. Unfortunately I hadn't told her this recently - but she'll know now! I was very lucky to acompany her and Mary Anne to Europe in the summer of 91. If it weren't for Mickey I would have never gone. She told me I could make it happened, then she coached me. I learned from this to dream, to do, to dedicate oneself, to be determined then to share all of these things with the people around you. She was honest with me - real life honest something not everyone is willing to give, she could be stubborn, she mentored me like no other and she had faith in me. I thought I was special, but she treated everyone this way. I adore these things about her. She was the first, and only, person I have met who could be ready to leave the country in 10 minutes. I told my husband if she were a suitcase she'd be telling me to pack her and hit the road. I am the student that tried to match her feistiness and turned her world upside down when she took a group to Asia during Spring Break... '91, she was suprised to tears when she returned, I cleaned her office (to the point where you could see the floor). She told me "I'm not crying because I'm happy - because now I don't know what to do" she couldn't find anything! I think about her often and will continue to do so as her spirit is not one easily forgotten. She made me a better person and I cherish every moment spent with her. Here's to you Mickey ~ may you have many adventures in your everlasting life. Love, Angela Emry Sanders~Student Spokane Falls Community College.

To Mickey's Family:
It's still so hard for me to realize two of my very best friends are no longer with us. I loved your mom so very much. She was a mentor, confidant, travel buddy, colleague, and so much more. Some of my happiest memories are of her, Mary Ann, Erna, and me traveling the country and the world. Mickey created so many opportunites for living life fully. I know she and Mary Ann are in heaven planning all kinds of activities. Knowing that Mickey is free from all the pain and suffering she's gone through is what keeps those of us "left behind" able to continue on with joy and love in our hearts for a person we loved so much. I'll cherish my memories of Mickey forever.
Dede and Libbie----if I can ever do anything for you, please let me know. God bless you and your families. You are in my prayers.
Much Love,
Carol Millard
