Mike is someone I hold dear to me. We met when I was thirteen, and after that spent a lot of time at the beach. My family, as well as I, loved him very much. He was truly a special person. We sort of lost touch through high school, but as soon as I learned of his sickness I spent as much time as I could with him. It just reminded me again how amazing he was, and even after all the years of high school we grew together and still had as strong of a friendship as before. I'll never forget you, you are with me in my very heart and soul.

Love you Has

I did not know Mike personally, but I remember seeing him every day at CCC and every Friday night on the football field. I remember hearing through high school friends of his illness and have thought of him often since. My boyfriend, Dante Roberts, also recalls fond memories of being on the team with Mike and feels it was a pleasure to have known and played with him. Our hearts go out to you and your family and our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Mike will always be a remembered and cherished part of the CCC family and he will be missed.

Mike is the sweetest guy I have ever met in my life. He is such an amazing person who inspired so many people including myself. He fought one heck of a fight. I hope everyone will continue Mike's fight by fundraising so a cure for Leukemia can be found. Mike was such a genuinely good person and I feel blessed to have known him (love him so much). Regardless of how terrible he was feeling he always help others. One girl wrote on his facebook page saying they had never met but Mike reached out to her and her husband after her husband first got diagnosed. The girl said it was the most inspirational letter ever. She also stated Mike welcomed their call asking what to expect after the transplant. How amazing is he!! What a hero!! God must have a bigger assignment for Mike. I will always say this about Mike, "he was an angel on earth and he is now an angel in heaven". We need more people in this world like Mike. Steve & Terry you are family to me and my heart is broken for you. I will continue to pray for your strength. I love you always and forever.

I had the honor of teaching Mike his senior year at CCC and walked as part of "Team Hasley" at Brighthouse Field early on in his valiant battle. His sweet disposition and determination inspired so many of us. He was a BRAVE fighter on the Marauder football field and against a dreadful disease that no one his age should experience. Mike and his family and many friends are in my prayers. Melanie Kling
