Edward Kilby Obituary
Surviving Mr. Kilby are his children, Jean McClung and her husband, Gary, Patricia Burton and her husband, John, Tammy Stringfellow and her husband, Carl, Danny Kilby and his wife, Evelyn, Gary Kilby and his wife, Debbie, all of Culpeper, Va., Teresa Hamm and her husband, Aaron of Vienna, Va. and Ronald Kilby and his wife, Rita of Orange, Va. Also, he had 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. His wife, Nelda Tinder Kilby; his parents; his son, Steven Kilby and his daughter, Brenda Kilby precede him in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Pastor Paula Jones conducting the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Burton, Steve Kilby, Joshua Hamm, Mathew Hamm, Aaron Hamm, John Burton, Carl Stringfellow and Freddie Tharpe. Honorary pall-bearers will be Sonny Brown, Gary McClung and Lindsay Dodson. Condolences may be given at clore-english.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper,
VA 22701.

To the kilby family I offer my condolences. Franklin was my late fathers nephew. Franklin's mother Zeta and my father J.R. Morgan were brother and sister. I remember Franklin (Judd-we called him) would come visit our Aunt Helen, so I got to see him when I too was visiting Aunt Helen, but that has been many years ago. My deepest sympathy to you.

I share in the sadness of the Kilby family as they are all connected to part of my heart in some manner. I will miss seeing Mr. Kilby walking up the hill from Safeway to his home. I saw him doing this last week, and tried to finish my banking so I could give him a ride. I will never forget how his face alway lit up with a smile and a "looka here" when he saw me.
Cherish the thought that he lived a long life and survived through many struggles. Now he can rest. It is his turn to do so.
