Jesse H. Dores, Jr.



Jesse Howard Dores, Jr., age 67, of Bealeton, Va. departed this life on August 13, 2009 at the Fauquier Hospital.

He was born Nov. 2, 1941 in Warrenton, Va., a son of the late Jesse and Bessie Dores. Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

Jessie attended and graduated from Fauquier County Public Schools a graduate of William C. Taylor High School in 1961.

He accepted Christ at an early age at First Springs Baptist Church, baptized by the late Rev. Carroll. He became a Church Deacon and leader under the pastorate of the Rev. Gillison Wanser.

Jessie loved music mainly bluegrass and gospel. He loved hosting cook-outs and family reunions and had a great love for the Dallas Cowboys. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gloria Dores; three sons, Jesse H. Dores, III, William E. Dores and Tyrone P. Dores; two sisters, Agnes Ford of Fairfax, Va. and Dorothy Dores of Alexandria, Va.; one grandson, Dimitri A. Dores and one stepdaughter, Cheryl Hammond; eight sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews, many relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, Va. on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18 at 12 Noon at First Springs Baptist Church near Warrenton (Turnbull Community) by the Rev. Gillison Wanser. Interment at the Family Cemetery.
