Just found out about the sudden death of your mom. Words cannot express how deeply sorry we are. Your mom was a great and wonderful person and she will be sorely missed. She raised three strong, beautiful daughters. She was always so proud of you girls. We both send all our love and prayers your way.

To Shannon and Family,
I just read about the passing of your mother. You are an amazing young lady, who impressed me greatly during your 6th grade school year. I'm sure your mom deserves a great deal of credit for that. My thoughts are with you and your family.

To Steve and girls,
I have just found out about Jenn, she was such a good friend to me when we were in Culpeper. I'll never forget the great baby shower she gave me when Myer was born, and all the fun we had coaching the cheerleaders in CFA. My prayers are with you.

Dear Mary Ann, even though I only met you that one day in class, I feel we have so much in common I can't wait to see you again. I am shocked & so sad at your tragic loss, & have been praying for you and your whole family ever since I heard about Jennifer. Actually, someone stated they met Jennifer at Cracker Barrel & I'll bet she was the lovely person who cheered us on our journey too! Small world!
May God be with you & help your family through this very sad & difficult time. Love & prayers, Nancy Cook

To Jennifer's family,
Just wanted to let you know that we met your daughter on the 6th of September as our waitress at the Cracker Barrel in Harrisonburg on our way back to Richmond, before we left we felt we knew her, we found out she used to work at Scott's and that we were from Deposit, we compared our favorite Binghamton pizza places and spiedies, she gave us her email address to let her know when we were back in the area, we knew her dad was in the hospital and we told her we would be praying for him, It is such a shock to us to see this when we logged into the paper today, your daughter and mom was just a bright ray of sunshine touching all she came in contact with her, I feel blessed getting to meet her. Will be praying for your family.

Dear Greg, Mary Ann, Allen, Shannon,Kayleigh,Clare and all of those grieving Jennifer's death: Please know that I am praying for you all. I know personally how a sudden tragic experience can shake our faith. It leaves so many unanswered questions. I have learned that life is hard, yet I am comforted in knowing that God has promised to NEVER leave or forsake us. He is our rock and our salvation. Hold dearly onto Him. May Jesus wrap His loving arms around you all and instill in you a peace that surpasses all human understanding. At a time like this when pain and anger arise, only God can ease the angst in your heart. Difficulties and losses arise. Life changes. Things don't work out the way we expected. Sometimes, we need encouragement: a courage transplant from another believer so we can continue to pursue the abundant life of the Lord Jesus given in the midst of our discouraging circumstances. I pray for you all to feel God's love that is ever present, ever interceding, and ever merciful! Nothing can rock His reign or love for YOU all. Take hope in knowing He will equip you through the Holy Spirit to deal with whatever comes your way. Take comfort in knowing that at times when life seems to be falling apart, God's love abiding in YOU will keep you together! In Christ's Love, Diane Ortel ("Emily and Greg's Aunt Diane")
