ELLIS R. GLASKER, SR.

"BIG - EM"



Ellis R. Glasker, Sr. of Washington, VA., died on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born June 28, 1924 to the late Robert and Zaphyr Glasker of Woodville, Va. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville, Va.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Mabel Glasker; three sons Robert Glasker, Roy Glasker, and Larry Glasker all of Washington, Va., a foster daughter, Jackie Porter, Woodville, Va., and a foster son, Leroy Porter, Jr. of Front Royal, Va. He also leaves two brothers, Thomas Glasker of Warrenton, Va. and Col. Samuel Glasker of Culpeper, Va.; four sisters-in laws, Erma Glasker and Gertrude Glasker of Culpeper, Va., and Sidney Glasker of Warrenton, Va. and Mary Glasker of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; three brothers-in laws, James Freeman, Walter Freeman, and Earl Clanagan all of Washington, Va., three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 12 Noon at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville, Va., with the Rev. Michael Tinsley, officiating and Rev. Herbert Johnson, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. The family also receive friends on Friday, May 23, 2008 from 6 PM - 8 PM at the church. Arrangements by W.C. Thompson Funeral Home of Culpeper, VA.
