Eva Banks Obituary
Survivors include five daughters, Catherine, Christine, Lena (David), Helen and Gloria (Larry). She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Banks; daughter, Lelia "Isom"; son, James, Jr. "Jr."; sister, Lucille Carter and three brothers, Coleman, Herbert and Edward Johnson.
She will be lovingly remembered by two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and devoted daughter-in-Christ, Ann Lacy and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Brandy Station, Va. at 12 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2011. The Rev. Reese Washington officiating. Burial will be in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, Reva, Va. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 2 until 6 p.m. at W.C. Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church. Arrangements by

ms eva will be greatly missed.i will be praying for her family.i loved her as if she was my family.i will never forget all the fun times playing cards with her.i really enjoyed her company.she was one of the best.and if theres any thing the family needs just let me know

We were so sorry to read of Eva's death. She was an angel sent to us by God in 1985 when Harrison's mother was experiencing dementia. Eva sat with Mrs. Lohr for several months and treated us like her children. She was wonderful to Mrs. Lohr. She will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Our prayers and sympathy to Eva's family.
