James Clore Obituary

James William Clore, Sr., 90, of Madison, died Tuesday,November 20, 2007 at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 17, 1917 in Madison he was the son of the late John Clore and Laura Richards Clore and husband of the late Buler Nicholson Clore. Mr. Clore was a retired farmer and a member of the Walkers' United Methodist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Kitty Shifflett and husband Michael of Reva; three sons, James W. "Jimmy" Clore, Jr., and wife Sandra of Aroda, Tommy Clore and wife Emma Jean of Reva and John Clore and wife Mary of Reva; five grandchildren,Jeff Clore and wife Sharon of Aroda, Eddie Clore of Wolftown, Doris Clore of Reva, Alice Corbin andhusband David of Culpeper and Michael Shifflett of Reva; four great-grandchildren, Travis Clore of Ruckersville, Terena Clore of Jamestown,N.Y., Morgan Brock of Aroda and Ashlea Leach of Aroda; one brother-in-law,Hysel Nicholson of Stanardsville; one sister-in-law, Peggy Nicholson and husband Dan of Culpeper. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Linwood "Toad" Clore and a sister, Louise Clore. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24 at the Walkers' United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Ray Berry. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
