Mrs. Dorothy L. (Winkler) Clore, age 92, of Gainesville, Georgia, entered heaven, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at New Horizon nursing home.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Mineral Bluff, Georgia.
Dorothy was born March 22, 1933 in White County, Georgia, to the late Wilburn G. Winkler and Dora (Nix) Winkler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Clore; son, Donald Ray Clore; sisters, Delara, Bertha Simmonds, Jeanette Roberson, Joyce Ann Saxon and brother, Arnold Winkler.
She retired from the restaurant business, having owned Clore's Restaurant for 40 years. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Mineral Bluff, Georgia.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Junior Clore, Johnny Clore and daughter, Charlene (Charles) Cross; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Memorial Park Riverside Chapel to help with Dorothy's final expenses.
