Lynn and my father, Gus Chafoulias, have both passed and are missed daily. The story I tell often about Lynn is when he asked me if he should buy a new car or replace his muffler. I told him a new car made more sense, but he thought the muffler did so he could save money. My other highlight is the fishing trips to Canada. Especially the time Lynn was driving and locked us all in the camper by hitting a road barrel on the bridge, but he made sure we did not go hungry during this event. These memories will always be with me.

Lynn will be sorely missed by the whole Berkowitz Family. We just found out Friday or we would have been at the funeral. If there is anything we can do for the Johnson Family, please let me know. He was a great man and a great teacher. We have all benefitted from knowing him. All my love, Nancy Berkowitz Knecht and the Berkowitz Family

I'm sorry that we could not be with the Johnson family (we were out of the state, but please accept our condolence. When I came to the University of Minnesota in 1945, Lynn and I became very close friends. Lynn's parents treated me like of their own children from the beginning of my university life. Our paths seemed to fade over the years but I will never forget the warmth and kindness shown to me by Lynn and his parents. May he rest in peace. Earl S. Sanford

My sincere condolences to the Johnson Family. I had the pleasure of meeting Lynn a couple of times while doing business with his distributorship in Minnesota. I found him humble, straight-talking and and wise beyond words. I once commented to him that I didn't know he owned distributorships in so many other states. His response, "Ken, I learned a long time ago that the sperm whale who spouts first is the first to be harpooned!" I sat speechless in front of his desk as I stared into his eyes. And his eyes sparkled at mine as soon he knew I understood what those words meant. A memorable moment for me from a very, very memorable person. Peace be with you always, Lynn.

Lynn was a remarkable human being. His intelligence and drive made him stand out from all others. He expected a lot from his people but he also gave a lot. Loyalty to his people was a big reason a lot of people were loyal to him. He will be greatly missed.

Lynn will be missed, his personality was larger than life itself. He was a man of great strength and wisdom. When I worked with him he always was streight to the point but always took the time to encourage me. On my last day, he took time out of his very busy day to make a point to see me...and I am a nobody in this company. He put his arms around my shoulders and said, "Dee if you ever need a job come back and see me." He just gave me such great encouragment in that simple jesture and made me feel valued. He could be a hard taskmaster but never expected anything out of anyone that he would not do himself. Great men like that will always be missed. As I write this with fond memories and tears in my eyes, I say Thank you Lynn for being you. To the family, may the days forward bless you with the wonderful memories and legacy he has left behind.
