Todd & Amy,
I'm a Beta (OSU grad '81) alumni who always enjoyed seeing/talking w/ Bob about the upcoming Spring roundup. He was such a kind, great man whom I will dearly miss. One memory to share is that I asked him if my father (non-Beta/OSU grad) could attend the Jim Tressel dinner @ Scioto & he assured me that he could attend that function "as long as I'm involved", which made for a wonderful experience for my father & I. I am truly sad to hear about his passing.
My condolences,
Tom Jordan

Todd and Amy, my heartfelt condolences on your dad’s passing. He was such a warm, thoughtful and generous friend and neighbor to my parents for so many years. My father and I missed Bob a lot in the past months when he was no longer at home. Some of my fondest “yard” memories are of Bob with little Sporty, walking her and caring for her. He was a great soul and I will always remember him with fondness and respect.

As a member of Beta Theta Pi I attended OSU with Bob's son Todd. What a great life and so many accomplishments Bob had achieved. He is a legend. My condolences to the family.

Buckeye Bob will be missed by many at the tailgate. I enjoyed my time with Bob in the west lot. I would always call him to let him know if there were any problems with the tailgate tents. Bob always had a story to share with me from his past tailgate experiences and I learned from that. Bob knew that I would do anything for him and his tailgate. I loved the "Hot Damn" that he served up too! My coldolences go out the Arend Family! We have lost a gem of a person.

I am very curious, if Bob went to Lincoln High School in Canton Ohio. If so, he sat behind me in most classes, as my name was Anthony. He was so much fun!! First and last time I ever rode in a "rumble seat". At that time, it was very rare for any of us to have a CAR-----but Bob had one. It was a great write-up Bob Hunter had in the Dispatch this morning. If this is the Bob Arend I knew, I am so sorry I did not get to reunite with him, after so many years.

I just found out today that Carl died. I was President of the Beta house 1969-1970; I want to express my sympathies to his family. I didn;t realize how invo;ved he was in the community until I read the obituary. I'm sure he touched many hearts in a special way.
It;s ironic to se the funeral was at Firs Community church. I have been a resident at the First Community Village Healthcare Center in Upper Arlington for the last 8 yrs. I am 60 yrs old and have Multiple Sclerosis.
May God give each of you peace and comfort.

Bill and I would like to express our deepest sympathy. Your dad was a wonderful person and we have so many fond memories of him as "Buckeye Bob". He welcomed us with open arms into his Buckeye family tailgate and we enjoyed visiting with him each home game.
