Lex ROBERTS Obituary
Lex Alan Roberts passed away on January 29, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Dallas, Texas on March 31, 1957. At a young age, Lex and his family moved to Austin, TX. Lex graduated from Lanier High School in 1975. Before settling in Port Aransas, TX, he resided in Thorndale, TX. Lex was owner of Channel Construction for the last ten years.
Lex is survived by his loving wife, Janice Roberts and son, Jake Roberts of Port Aransas, TX; his sisters Lonna (Ken) Wilson and Leslee (Scott) Malcom; his mother-in-law, Shirley Burgan; sister-in-law Lisa (David) Scruggs; brothers-in-law Bill Burgan and Bryan Burgan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Lonnie E. Roberts and Betty June Roberts.
Lex will be remembered as a hard- working man who truly believed in helping others. He based his success on honesty, integrity, and fellowship rather than making a profit. Lex loved his family, friends and community and will be truly missed by all.
His family would like to thank all of the physicians and caregivers at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston and Gentiva Hospice of Corpus Christi. A special thank you to Lisa and David Scruggs for opening their home during Lex's medical treatment in Houston, In addition, the family would like to thank life-long friend, Jim Henry, and Jay and Stephanie Kenigsberg for their love and support.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 7th at First Baptist Church of Port Aransas with a celebration of Lex's life following at 1:00 p m. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to MD Anderson Cancer Research, PO Box 4486, Houston, TX 77210-4486 (https://gifts.mdanderson.org) or to a charity of your choice. All Funeral services are entrusted to All Faith Cremation & Funeral Services in Ingleside, TX serving the Coastal Bend.

Janice,so sorry to hear about Lex. He was a big part of Steve's life when they worked together at Hickman Plumbing and United Pump. He will be greatly missed.
