Kelvin Starling Obituary

Kelvin Lee Starling 1968 - 2010 Kelvin Lee Starling was born November 25, 1968 in Bowie County, Texas to Sharon Starling and William Moreland. He grew up in DeKalb, Texas and attended DeKalb High School, which he graduated from in 1987. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army served for 10 years. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, Kelvin made Austin, Texas his home. When he came to Austin, Kelvin began a career in the IT industry working for Entech and later Semiens. After working several years as an IT technician located at Intel Corporation he decided to pursue an associate's degree in chip design at Austin Community College. While attending ACC, he became a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and continued to work for Semiens until he graduated with his associate's degree. Because of his knowledge of computers and great attitude, Kelvin was hired to work at Intel Corporation as a Chip Designer. He worked there for the last six years. Kelvin was a very compassionate, dedicated, dependable, sincere friend and family member. His biggest joys in life were raising Rottweiler dogs, spending time with his loved ones, cooking, computers, and riding his motorcycle. He was known for being a giving, loving, and generous person in every since of the word. Kelvin exemplified the best qualities of a human being by regularly going out of his way to help anyone in need. He touched many lives and blessed many people including his family, co-workers at Intel, and his close friends. On August 25, 2010, his earthly journey came to an end. Kelvin left precious loving memories to his wife Rubi Hershberger of Austin, Texas; his father William Moreland of Texarkana; his stepmother Carol Moreland of Clarksville; his brothers David Moreland of Texarkana and Chenier Moreland of Carrollton; his sisters Debra Titus of Dallas, Alia Moreland of Mesquite, Dana Moreland of Clarksville, and his grandmother Lucille M. My heart is broken that I didn't find the time to see Kelvin one last time. He was a great friend with a giving heart, a heart that didn't serve him well. My heart goes our to Rubi who just told me of his passing and his family which he always loved, his family here on earth and up in heaven. (his beloved dog Naya included)
